Edgeworth Band don’t rehearse, we regularly perform live at Black Ivory Printmaking & Audio Club to an audience of zero. Tonight we played acoustic (see video above). The vocals were too quiet on the songs Emma and I played together, as I was sat too far from the camcorder, so I recorded some solo after she left. Both the Emma and non-Emma versions are on the album. It would have gone on our Bandcamp had it not included covers. We tried out a new song tonight, a cover of Spaceboy (Smashing Pumpkins).
It was announced at Black Ivory Printmaking & Audio Club tonight that an A2 lever printing press has been ordered and is due to arrive here from the Netherlands later this month. Two applications today for an Edgeworth Pack, one successful, highlighted the need. If I can sell a few woodcut prints at my Heckel’s Horse Jr. exhibition in London March 2024 (come to the Private View on the 8th, details below), it will have paid for itself.
We played acoustic tonight as I was too busy working on my second and third Me A Dolls to set the room up for electric. I have extremely mild hypermobility syndrome in my fingers so rarely play acoustic. I think the pro’s call it ‘high action’ when the strings are high off the fretboard. Too much for me.
