Rain stopped me bringing any cardboard sheets to the studio today, so instead I brought a load of paper Steve from L-13 gave me years ago when I helped clear out their light industrial workshop. It’s unprimed as I’m keeping these thin and like the surface as it is. It’s not the slippery shiny office paper rubbish.

Today, April 10th was Episode 21 of my Chatham Dockyard Diary. The second time lapse recorded painting I’ve done there, the first being last week.

Sitting here in my Muswell Hill studio, it’s apparent how imperative it is to get these Heckel’s Horse Jr. paintings photographed so they can be stored away till their exhibition in March 2024 at Highgate Gallery in London, UK. Full details below. For this, a dry overcast day is needed. Recently all daytime weather has been either sunny or rain. Both useless for painting photography in my garden. The gallery need my poster image sometime in May. Once the photos are done, there’ll be some proper webpages for the series and a promotional pamphlet for the local letterboxes. Little did I know as a thirteen year old paperboy, I’d still be doing it at 46. Only now, unpaid.
