These are the first fifteen Add Maddarings. Oil paintings on A4 paper, hand drawn map done in pencil, glued onto cardboard I rescued from the street and painted in black acrylic. apparently today is the hottest day ever. didn’t seem that hot to me. spent most of it recording this. on monday, just gone, booked ranscombe studio again, i think for august 2nd. last time we got 12 songs = an album in a day, so will try for same again. no acoustic songs this time. over last couple of days recorded vox and guitar demos . will prepare some bass and drums this time. at least bass. i also posed for a head shot, used for the cover. most of my out of timeness i because the recorder won’t play what i’m playing to at the right volume, so i cant hear what im playing to. double vocals are just waiting for my solo parts to come round on track 2. won’t be double tracking anything at ranscombe.

practiced after print club tonight. played songs off ‘at Ranscombe Studios‘. then emma talks about her drumming. they emailed us offering more gigs eventhough noone came to our last one. tonight went ok, so probably have another booked soon, in london. tonights practice is on soundcloud and youtube.

at Ranscombe Studios is my first studio album. Recorded, mixed and mastered June 19th 2019. They’re in Rochester, Kent. The same studio that did my second album. Snare left, floor tom right. Ibanez back pick up both tones on 10. drop pedal for bass. old acoustic for acoustic songs.

more organised now. files for each song, can start going through my phone for starts of new ones. just no space to print or paint.
New song, first in a while. waded there down. 3/4 time. recorded 9 versions on 4 track, the last going on soundcloud. Monday, jim asked if I wanted to use a click track. i said no, but now trying it, changed my mind. waste of time redoing demos in a studio. i’d like the studio songs to sound like studio songs, demos as demos. first song with a violin.
From version 6 onwards, the acoustic is the electric stringed one.
only version 8 and 9 -chorus have a lead guitar.
Only on last version does the chorus have new vox melody.
