Going through some old storage DVD-R’s, I found a series of 8 demo albums I recorded around 2003ish. Rough recordings 1 to 8. All songs written and performed by me, except ‘Run with me‘ which has Claire Diamond on vocals, the singer in my first band, 2 out of 3 rule. Some of the other songs ended up being 2 out of 3 rule songs, some, with my second band Elbow Sisters, and some with my more recent solo albums. But the vast majority just got forgotten about.
Now whatever did you need me for?
Bouncing off the walls of the harbour.
In the corridors of anything.
In the dormitory of the thinking.
Bouncing off the walls of the kitchen.
So many times that I
have ever run.
Before the latern flower has turned to grey.
Haven’t seen ya for a while.
Luv -a song – a l-ever lonely time.
I was on it for a while.
Luv -a song are never lonely.
He was an eye.
He was an eye lit time.
Unlike the night with girls, we danced.
You stood beside me. Not laid down.
I thought I’d have ya till the end.
But I guess we were just being young.
For my coat of day, Maiden Alice.
That I loan to you.
We’re working overtime tonight.
We couldn’t be bothered back in school.
We’ll keep on storing as we go.
But the name that lands in my room.
Call your own at night.
