This year’s Fan Club members on Tier 2 and above get a signed copy of the Heckel’s Horse Jr. of Muswell Hill. 100 Works book posted to them for free (including worldwide shipping). One of five free and signed publications they get each year (details here).

Fan Club copies are signed on the inside cover with a Sharpie permanent marker.

The book is 132 pages on good quality 200gsm thick silk paper. The cover is matt laminated silk paper of 350gsm thickness.

I took a copy round to a book shop on Muswell Hill Broadway today and asked if they would like to stock it due to the local interest. Primarily why I put the words “Muswell Hill” on the front cover. They’ve taken a copy and will phone if it sells. The man I spoke to happens to have recently bought a Headcoats record.

Emma and I travelled up to the new Ranscombe Studios in Rochester yesterday to record Emmas First Ranscombe album. I’d made a demo tape for it a few days earlier and had recorded Studious at the old Ranscombe Studios on Star Hill with the same engineer, Jim Riley. Was my first time at the new location, apart from a short visit with Billy a few weeks ago. It was Emma’s first time recording outside Black Ivory Printmaking & Audio Club. Mooney Ra Ra was supposed to come and shoot some video but couldn’t get herself out of bed.
The set up in chronological order: Emma and I played a runthrough of all the songs in the same room, recording vocals, guitar and drums simultaneously, using a loop pedal for parts with more than one guitar. The same set up as the rehearsal videos we put on YouTube. Emma goes home. I record bass over the top of the runthrough. Not real bass but normal guitar through a drop pedal.
16 songs recorded and mixed. 13 on the album, 3 rejects, 1 to re-write, 6 covers on YouTube, 7 originals on Fan Club only.

YouTube Thai Tour Notebook playlist In 2017 I bought an A4 brown paper notebook from Cass Art, filled it with oil transfer drawings, left it in my storage room and forgot about it. Six years later, shortly before leaving London for a two week back-packing tour round Thailand, I came across it again. The drawings looked unfinished so I packed it along with two pencil cases of oil pastels to finish in and around Bangkok, Pattaya and Chiang Mai.
Whilst in Chiang Mai I arranged an art residency at Studio 88 for later this year. Possibly 4 weeks starting early June. As part of the Love Peace Harmony Festival bus tour, we visited the Museum of Something:
