Edgeworth Johnstone playing at a Heckel's Horse Jr. exhibition at Black Ivory Printmaking & Audio Club. 30th March 2023.

Below is the YouTube playlist of all the songs Edgeworth Band played last night at the current Heckel’s Horse Jr. exhibition at Black Ivory Printmaking & Audio Club on 30th March 2023. Black Ivory is members only, so the gigs only audience member was the clubs only other member, Sarah Warner. That’s the only reason.

Last night was the first time Edgeworth Band have played a gig at Black Ivory to an audience. Although there’s been at least one occasion where we’ve practiced infront of an audience there.

As for public gigs, we played a few before covid. Hardly anyone came. After covid I emailed round the local venues, but to no avail. Maybe we’ll play publicly again if we come across a potential audience. Not looking likely. The good thing is, I don’t have to trek round London watching friends bands play anymore. I used to, but fuck it, they don’t come to ours. Same happened with art exhibitions. I used to go to friends private views, but now I hate them all. Come to my Heckel’s Horse Jr. exhibition, details below.

Heckel’s Horse Jr. is not to be confused with Heckel’s Horse.

Heckel’s Horse Jr. is an alias used by Edgeworth Johnstone. Under this alias, Johnstone paints works based on Heckel’s Horse paintings in his home studio in Muswell Hill, London.

Heckel’s Horse is a painting collaboration between Billy Childish and Edgeworth Johnstone. Since 2013, Childish and Johnstone have made roughly 200 paintings together, at Childish’s studio in Chatham Dockyard.
